You guys win this round. They're on order. I missed so much of 1980s cinema because I watched AMC growing up (back when it was decent) instead of HBO or one of those other movie channels. Unfortunately, when it comes to "geek cred" or "guy cred", Cary Grant and Boris Karloff don't pass muster anymore.
I ask you, is it a fault of mine or a fault of the process? I find any system suspect that denigrates the works of Cary Grant in favor of Matthew Broderick.
Shit. Does this mean I have geezer cred? I'm too young!

Then again, I'm already a geezer so mayhap you'd be better off listening to someone else. [shakes her cane] YOU DAMN KIDS GET OFF MY LAWN!

His students gave him hell until he reminded them he's seen every Orson Welles and Woody Allen film several times over. Thus, Robert Zemekis wasn't exactly high on his priority list.

Date: 2007-04-13 12:52 am (UTC)Sweetie, if you didn't see it *in the theater*, you're in no danger of geezer creds.
*snorts* HBO indeed! Kids today!
